Hmmm...

I have a job interview on Monday for a position at a local boutique. I'm thinking that if I get the job, I might take a bit of my earnings and become a patron of the Huntsville Art Museum next year. We've been to a couple of the museum's events now, and I really love the whole scene and the things the Art Krewe gets to be involved in. Something to think about.

We had a great time while Wes was here. On Monday, he tagged along with me while I ran some errands. We were so hot and tired by the time we got home, we just chilled and watched tv for the rest of the afternoon. That night, Greg came over and we all watched Die Hard 3, then Wes, Jason, and I stayed up and watched Red Dawn. Jason has been bugging me to watch that movie for weeks, and I'll admit it was pretty good. Tuesday, Wes and I hung out at the bookstore for a while and had some coffee. Then, we went downtown to Big Spring Park so he could get some shots there he wasn't able to get last time. Again, we were practically melted by the time we got back, so we just rested and waited around for Jason to get home so we could all go up to the mountain. We cooked out on top of Monte Sano in the park and Wes took some great shots while we were up there. Wednesday, Wes and I sat around watching movies all day, then we had some dinner and he headed off to Birmingham. Overall, we had a fun and relaxing time, and he actually got to sleep in a real bed this time, instead of a tiny mattress on the floor. :P

Lat night, we saw Goonies outside at the park, and it was pretty fun (like Sundown in the City, in Knoxville). There were at least 400-500 people there to see the movie. We're also going to see From Here to Eternity there in a couple of weeks. We got up at 5 am this morning to have a garage sale, then we had plans to go see Stardust and have ribs for dinner over at Greg's. Unfortunately, I was trying not to wake Jason up this morning by keeping all the lights off, and I ran into the door and hurt my head fairly bady. I've got a knot and a bruise over my eyebrow, and I've been dizzy and had a headache pretty much all day (ibuprofen has been my friend). So when the sale petered out, we packed up early and just hung out in the house today. I guess Stardust will have to wait until next weekend. :(

Mom and a family friend are coming down Thursday to do some painting shopping, and we're all going to go see Becoming Jane. I'm pretty excited to see that, although I'm sure it'll be historically inaccurate to the nines. Oh, well. Sometimes you've just got to see the movie for the sheer pleasure of it.

So that's my last week in a nutshell. Oh, and Buffy is driving me crazy. I've never had a cat scratch so much in my life.
