Game OVER

So the class I was teaching is now over! I gave the final yesterday; it went pretty well. After it was over, one of the guys stuck around and just chatted for a while. His name is Travis. This actually wasn't the first time he's stuck around to chat. He's also the only one I gave my actual name to (as opposed to my legal name, which is of course what I taught the class under but don't use or respond to) and the only one I friended on Facebook (because, as wide_i_wanderer says, it isn't real till it happens on Facebook). Since this is a community college there isn't anything all Lolito about this - actually he's just a little older than I am - and he's someone I would have made friends with anyway, since we have a similar sense of humor. He was trying to convince me that I should join their whack-with-sticks team, which is, I gather, basically a battle game. I am thinking about at least checking it out once as I miss karate so much and loved it when I was involved, and it would be nice to DO something active. I want to be careful though till I'm sure whatever is out of alignment in my neck is mostly fixed. It would be nice if I could wait till my elbows and knees stop randomly aching but that seems to be the way it'll be this time of year. However it is an hour drive up there so I won't probably join their group, but it might be fun to check it out.

Other than that, not much up - pretty busy at my "real" job, made my first car payment (yay, big girl things!), downloaded some new computer games, encouraged my mom to let my sister go on her study abroad opportunity to Laos/Cambodia/Vietnam/Thailand (as, let's face it, if Bran signs with the army this summer as she most likely will, she won't get a study-abroad). Got some new bookshelves for the 'partment and they look nice. Also looking forward to going ghost-hunting with Keepy, her mom, and Aunt Kim next weekend. Yay halloween! And then Yay NANO!
