Alright so reading this over coffee was probably the best start to a day I could ask (this is my more subdued HOLYSHITIT'SUPDATED when the caffeine has yet to kick in but tastes lovely)

but he’s trying to remind himself there’s a significant difference between persistence and stalking.

I literally laughed into my mug at this. You go Jesse, you listen to your Police songs and remember Every Breath You Take encompasses that difference. I loved this chapter because it was a great summary of the differences between high school and college and how jarring it would be to someone like Jesse who was such a big fish in a small pond. His periodic wooing was sweet, but really my favorite part was Rachel's double slap. DAMN GIRL, YOUS FIERCE.

Epic epilogue will be epic!

Thank you so much. =) I promise to try and have it up soon. I think having more pressure on me - with all the request fics and a couple kink meme claims - made me more relaxed about this, haha.

This is random, but do you have European/British roots? I only ask because you call it a "sweet shop" instead of a "candy store." Not that it matters in the slightest, I was just curious :)

I do have Irish, Scottish and Belgian heritage, but I'm a born and raised Canadian. (I've been told I have a mildly Irish accent?) But I watch so much Brit TV I've picked up a lot of their slang and terminology, I think... I also pronounce some words differently than other people I know. eg. I pronounce 'necessary' NEC-ess-ry. I'm very suggestible, I guess.

Alright so I totally blow at explaining things, but if Groff can sing a fucking Lionel Richie song then I can try. I like to think that Skins is what Gossip Girl would be if it was on HBO/Showtime (sex + drugs), had realistic problems and talented writers. It's about a group of friends in the English equivalent of junior year of high school and follows a different character per episode. But (for example) unlike how Blair's eating disorder was basically only addressed in the s1 Thanksgiving episode, on Skins you get to see one of the characters' struggle with her anorexia over two seasons. Or how Dan had a thing with his teacher but then was over it two episodes later, there's a character who has an affair with his teacher over the season one arch....If you can follow my thought process then you're a genius. I know at least seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix instant watch or the series is uploaded here if you're bored enough one day/ between stories/ not in the mood to read kink then you should give it a try! It has an awesome soundtrack ( ... )
