It's summer. It's hot. It's humid. I'm bored. Great.
What have I been doing at home? Reading and playing Romance of the
Three Kingdoms VIII. I've become addicted to the game. At first I was
turned off by it because the graphics aren't better than super nintendo
and there are tons of numbers and menus. But I gave it a chance and now
I can't stop until I get that next promotion, increase my fame points,
or unify China. I'm playing as Bao Meng, a vassal under Sun Ce. My
adversary is Cao Cao. He is formidable.
And I'm also excited about all these books I have to read for my
program in Scotland. Woolf, Lawrence, Joyce, Yeats, Heaney, Fowles
among them. It should be good. Although I'm scared that I won't get it
all done, since I have to read about 4000 pages.
In celebration of a new photo bucket account, I think I'll take a photographic trip down memory lane. Where shall we start?
Let's start with cats, because how could we forget?
We had a visitor at the duplex this year in the form of a pregnant kitty. We named her Calypso.
[Edit: Lindsey] also got a cat. It likes to tear things up (like bras), and it was just a baby in this photo.
Remember visiting Grand Rapids last summer? Boy, do I! Aside from the beach, this about sums it up.
This sums up Kelsie's life for the past year. My cell phone. My laptop.
My room. That's okay because I think she got more out of all three than
I would've.
As per Princess Xanthop's request, here she is on a juant, looking quite jaunty.
Remember TV outside? The day was too nice to spend inside, but we still wanted to watch Golden Girls. Ingenius.
That's all for now. Mother wants to go online to find information about
growing some kind of vine. YAWN. More walks along the lane of memory to
come soon. I hope everyone's having a good summer.
