So, there are a few things going on in my life right now, but not too much. I'll be moving into Lucy Rowland this weekend. School is going okay. I have two english workshops: poetry and non-fiction. They're fun! I'm also taking two bio classes which are okay.
Monday, in Schwipps's class, he presented us with an article taken from Greencastle Monthly which was fucking hilarious. A vehement patron of Extreme Tanning tells us her experiences at the spa as well as her strongly held opinions about tanning. She goes completely crazy:

"I have found that tanning is very relaxing, in general for my mental and physical health, but makes me feel great about myself. It is a personal decision on how we look to ourselves and others, but I feel that I look better with a warm earthy tone to my skin. No, I am not conceited, but that is my personal look on myself. We each have our own slant on how we look good in life and that is mine and I am sticking to it!

"I have heard that UV exposure is not good, so why do it? I don't know if the final results are known, either way and I am sure that there are different camps that have their own results, etc. and that is why it should be left up to you as an individual to weigh the results, but all I know is that after I tan over at Extreme Tanning I feel great, look great from the UV exposure and that is my own feeling. Some people might say that I am too dark a shade from my tanning sessions, but I am the one looking in the mirror and I am the one that feels relaxed and at ease after leaving their establishment. By the way, they have multiple kinds of beds ranging from stand up and even UVA free, called a Mystic Tan. The Indiana winters can be brutal on both your mind and body and all I know is that I feel much better after I leave there."

All I know is that she is whacko.

It's time for quizzes.

According to the state quiz, my state is...

You're The Moon!

You frequently take small steps, but you think very highly of each and
every one of them. This aloof attitude doesn't begin to reflect how high and mighty you
actually are, though you are able to reflect light onto others when it seems appropriate.
Whether the glass is half full, half empty, waxing pedantic, or even crescent-shaped is
something ever-changing in your perspective. These mood swings at least follow a
consistent cycle, one that makes others believe you have mystical powers. Ultimately,
your head is always in the clouds and you just can't seem to stay grounded.

the moon!? I'm not really sure what to think. I took it again with slightly different answers. Alaska comes in at a close second. At least that's a real state.

And just a reminder about what nation I embody:

You're Canada!

People make fun of you a lot, but they're stupid because you've
got a much better life than they do.  In fact, they're probably just jealous.
You believe in crazy things like human rights and health care and not
dying in the streets, and you end up securing these rights for yourself and
others.  If it weren't for your weird affection for ice hockey, you'd be
the perfect person.

But we all knew that, didn't we?
