a shot at optimism:
(++++++++) no longer employed as an admin assistant/secretary/receptionist/office slave
(+) received an extremely generous gift card to mexicali blues as a parting gift (they actually sorta knew me)
(+) starting new job in a couple days with relevance and (hopefully) meaning (new title = rehab tech...an amusing rumor had started that I was leaving the company to go to rehab.)
(+) adding to music collection, finally
(+) unpacking and settling into this apartment
( - ) weekends are full of distractions and half-hearted studying...for now
