A silent face-off in Manhattan

Right outside the UN headquarters in New York stands a statue of St.George harpooning a metal dragon
that is made out of recycled American Pershing II and Soviet SS20 missiles (relics of an era long gone).
The inscription at its base reads, "Good defeats evil".

And with heavy irony, just right across the road is the luxurious 90-storey Trump World Tower which ruffled many feathers because it
broke the tradition of not having any building fronting the grounds of the UN that is taller than its Secretariat building.
oh the nerve of he with the infamous combover!

love how the silent battle between the 'beacon of hope' that is the UN and the 'evil' impertinence of the exploitative corporation is epitomised in a curious convergence of two buildings and an old sculpture in busy Manhattan.

i can't believe i'm deriving such cheap thrills from the symbolic placement of architecture.
