Velvet Goldmine Clips
Here are a few clips from the film Velvet Goldmine.
1) Gimme Danger. This is the point in canon from which Curt comes. He arrives on the island at the conclusion of this performance at the Death of Glitter concert. At the beginning of the clip you can see Arthur Stuart as he appears on the island. Throughout the concert, there are also flashes of young!Arthur in the audience.
2) Tv Eye. This is the first time we 'meet' Curt Wild in canon. He and his garage band the Rats are performing at some outdoors venue. It's a cover of an Iggy and the Stooges song (just like 'Gimme Danger'), and, well, it is NWS, as Curt is rather vulgar, moons the audience, and jumps around very naked on the stage. This is cut with flashbacks to his childhood, which really provide a lot of insight into his character.
3) The Kiss. The infamous VG kiss between Brian Slade and Curt Wild. Short and very, very pretty.
4) Trailer. The trailer for VG gives you an idea of what the film is about. ;)
5) Ballad of Maxwell Demon. This is a Brian Slade performance. Curt is in the very beginning, but not really enough to merit me linking this here. :p I just included it because I adore this song and this part of the film is just so visually GUH. I am a costume designer, so if you watch this clip, you'll understand why I love this bit so much. There is a slightly NWS bit including an inflatable doll.
