This came to me as I was driving to and from my appointment. I think it describes Aku very well.

She is death. She is quiet, unobtrusive, and unnoticed by people. When there is an accident on the street, she stands on the outside of the crowd in the shadows. She watches the tears, the shock, and the horror with eyes that, while not cruel, are very calm and removed. Eyes that understand but do not offer sympathy. When there is a death in a nursing home she leans against a wall, the only calm within the panic. She is not, however, emotionless. She feels and understands. She comforts the soul of a child that has just been killed by their own parent; she holds the hand of a woman dying of cancer; and she leads the soldier that has died for his country to his heaven with tears on her face. She can be wrath and justice personified; to the murderer of children, mothers, innocents... She is vindictive and she is possessive.
Death is not a frightening specter nor a skeleton in a robe; she is a woman and she will be there for you.

The last sentance is supposed to be both comforting and threatening... Like?
