Today was awesome
In order of occurrence
1) Asked the really sweet and cute boy who always takes time to talk to me (unlike all the other math grad students who think I'm "weird") if he would like to get together this weekend (and help me with some of the homework) and scored a phone number. SWEET (There was also a debate about what was better - crappy Detroit techno-y stuff or awesome Chicago House music.)
2) Met with Geoff my research 'advisor'
3) talked about Canada, politics (mostly Canadian, but some radical leftist stuff too), feminism, and how Rick Mercer's a horse's ass
4) Was asked if I'd like to go to the annual winter joint meeting of the American Physical Society and the American Association of Physics Teachers. Answer: HELLS FUCKING YEAH. Will be presenting on the still to be determined research I will be working on with Geoff. Also called Andrew to tell him that I will be at the conference if he would still like me to present on the research we have been doing (and are currently writing up to submit to various physics journals). Waiting to hear back, but we were talking about that before I left WA we just had no idea how to get me to the Conference (they're fucking expensive).
5) Was offered, and accepted, an office in the STEM Ed department. Take that Math Department! I got an office anyway so Nyah Nyah Nyah :P TPHBTHBBPBHTHBPTHBP!!!
Now I want to party. Maybe I'll call Vincent!
