SQUEE! OMG this is awesonme! And perfect and wonderful and I loved it to pieces!

The files that John listens to on the sly and how everyone comes together to help with the packing and the search with just the two of them.

My favorite part was Teyla's confession with everyone described by their hands because it is so beautiful and perfect.

I really enjoyed this. I liked the whole theme of the story, with helping hands and family ties.

She wondered if he knew he talked with his eyes.

One of my favorite lines. It really encapsulates John's character and how he expresses himself. I loved the comfortable conversation and jokes exchanged between Teyla and John to lighten the heavy mood. Good stuff all around, very heartwarming. :)

Thanks so much! tassosss gave such a lovely prompt. Once my brain wrapped around it, I had a ton of fun writing it.

I heard that line about talking with eyes once (not related to SGA), and I thought it really fit Sheppard. I have the feeling that Sheppard's team might be the biggest practical jokers on the expedition (except maybe Zelenka - those quiet ones, you know).

This is a marvelously layered story. I have always thought that Teyla's struggle with Atlantis and her people is something that they have ignored and only made slight mention of. I liked this exploration of her place in the city and New Athos very much. Well done!
