It's been a long time since I wrote in here! Adam and I are getting married in less than six weeks, so things are pretty crazy busy/stressful. Also I've been cramming like crazy for the GRE psych test, which is no easy feat. I take the test two weeks after we get back from our honeymoon. The GRE was tough, but man, this is a whole different animal. It's like the final exams from every class you ever took in college all rolled into one. It's really, really rough. So lately I've been watching the Olympics while making litterally hundreds of flashcards.
Other than that, life has been decent. My job is sooooo fun. Seriously I have the best job in the world. This week I took some people to the state fair and we had a really great time, and today we did our Indianapolis Zoo volunteer duties, which definately has it's perks! (Though cleaning out farm animal pens is not one of them.) Adam and I finally found a pastor to marry us who we feel really comfortable with and who isn't bailing out. We've been doing premarital counseling and it's been really fun/challanging. Speaking of wedding stuff, our best man and close friend Alex just got engaged this weekend, (finally!) so that was exciting, if shocking, news.
What else what else... The birds are doing great; they're still pretty dubious of each other and Malcolm is really LOUD now that he's settled in, but we love them and are all adapting well to life in a "flock". We've become really nerdy bird people with no friends. just kidding. sort of.
That's about it; I just can't wait for the wedding to be here/over so we can be married!! Then I can go on a fantastic honeymoon and get back to focusing on psych, which I miss a lot, strange as it sounds. Lately I feel really confident that I'm choosing the right path. I hope I get into grad school, but even if I don't, I know I've found the career path that makes me happy and fulfilled, and also the one that I'm great at. Can't wait to go back to school.
