(no subject)
Well, dad has gone in for his operation today. He is having a kidney removed. I don't know if i've mentioned that already...but yeah. It's a pretty major operation and he'll be off work for 6 weeks, he won't even be able to drive for 2...so yeah.
I'm home alone and mum was meant to be calling me with updates but she hasn't yet. It's weird, the house being so empty. My sister is on camp and my brother is at a friends' house for the night so he could get to school, and mum and dad left at 6. So there was noone here when I woke up....a bizarre feeling. There is *always* someone around here.
In other news, i'm going to an inter-university debating competition in Canberra! It's gonna be awesome fun, even if it is gonna cost me like $500 and I'm broke! i need. a. new. job. badly. Apart from everything else that's going on, uni is fucking awesome already. I'm adoring it this year. Getting involved with the debating society has been fantastic and I really feel like i've finally settled in.
I just finished reading this book called "Tully" and while it was a fantastic book, it depressed me a little. I cried heaps while reading it. But everyone should read it because it was awesome.
