rain

The first rain of the season tonight.
I smelled it coming in through the window while in class. Walking home later was absorbed by the sense of privacy afforded by an umbrella, and the amplification of pitter-pattering beneath its dome.

i lived in portland for two years, about two years ago, hm. i miss it quite a lot. i keep trying to think up some reason to move back there but there aren't any good schools for what i want to study.
one day i'll live there again though.

yeah, i'm a film person. i'm still working on my undergrad...taking me forever!
ultimately i want to go into film preservation and archiving and very few places offer that so my options are pretty limited.
my ex lives in portland and is studying furniture design (same as you?)at oregon college of art and craft. i don't know if they have a graduate program though.

film preservation and archiving sounds awesome ... and brings to mind rare footage from decades past. is it like that? where do you think you'll end up?
myself, i'm moving out of design and into fine arts. but still, i think u of o is the only oregon contender.
