I've been writing a lot of drabbles lately, playing with new and old fandoms alike. I find they help get me in the mood to write my wips and owed fics. I can't think of a title or I'd post this at Jayne_Simon, it's technically not a drabble because it's over 100 words but it's not long enough to be a ficlet, I don't think.
Simon/Jayne drabble
Rating: PG
Simon wasn’t prepared for this. All his planning, forward and logical thinking, and yet he hadn’t foreseen this. Hadn’t expected to feel like this.
Heat flushed through him, making his body tremble lightly as he laid on his back, hands fisting at the blanket beneath him and body tensing to hide the involuntary spasm. Di yu, he licked his lips, the bitter taste in his mouth making him grimace. For all his intelligence, his smarts as Jayne called them, he’d definitely underestimated here. He couldn’t force his body to obey as he wanted. Nor could he be dignified in any manner through this. The option had been taken away from him.
Thankfully only Jayne could see his weakness; the person that Simon once would have been most humiliated and furious at having seen in in such a state. But Jayne was bent over him, his hands working Simon’s fingers loose from the blankets that they ‘d fisted themselves in, doing what Simon couldn‘t as his body trembled violently. In a way it was ironic that it was Jayne who changed the sopping blankets, Jayne that fed him the medicine Zoe had prepared, Jayne that made disgusted faces as he wiped the sweat off Simon.
And it was Jayne who’d reap the rewards, once Simon was healthy again.
