More Rain~
Hola Friends,
It just keeps raining, but that's ok cause I like it. As long as it doesn't flood, or prevent me from seeing the road when I'm driving. It was so crazy yesterday that even the sewer lid was being lifted above the ground and the 2 holes in it were spraying out water like a hose. The bad thing was it is right infront of our driveway. J. thought it was the Coolest thing. Haven't done a whole lot because of the weather. We have however enjoyed the patio a lot this weekend. It's nice not being so hot and being able to enjoy it, but these flies are unreal. I've noticed this since we've moved up here. That I haven't seen the first roach, but that the grasshoppers, frogs, and flies are a real pain. A crazy group isn't it.
At least the monster slug thing we had at the last house before they tore them down is over. I thought I'd die when I saw that slug as big as my tennis shoe!
we had to like pour a gallon of salt on it.
So Gross!
I finally got in touch with Laura after all this Hurricane mess and she and her family are ok. They actually took off after it all since there was no water and everything was a mess and went to Disney to vacation. Pretty smart if you ask me. I can't believe Molly is the same age as J. I really wish we didn't live so far apart. She says they want to move someplace like N.C. so... hey maybe we won't be far apart anymore. If you don't know who I'm talking about she was my neighbor and we grew up together. That would be cool for a few years anyway. She was telling me they want to move because the weather is so hot down there, but from what I've been through the weather up here is the same as thus far at least the summer, and the Hurricane season is not to far behind it seems. Maybe not as Scary wind wise but the rain is unreal. She's living over in Mississippi.
I haven't experienced the winters yet so I'll have to keep you posted.
Fixing to do the weekly haircut routine and go to the store. At least it's not a rush rush day like usual weekends are. Because tomorrow is Columbus Day! Now my question is how do you explain a Columbus Day holiday to a kid? He doesn't even know the stories yet ..I guess we'll start that story tonight.
