I once read a news article about two roommates who got into such a huge fight that one ended up coshing the other over the head and killing him. Know what the fight was over? Toilet paper. They were arguing over whose turn it was to buy more. I thought that was one of the dumbest things I'd ever heard ( Read more... )

I think that happened in Florida a couple months ago. Both men were in their fifties. I think one pulled a gun on the other and so the other guy bashed his head in. Sad, really. They were both drunk, though, so that was a factor too, besides stupidity.

Where do you hope to travel to this summer?

Not sure yet, tentative plans for China in October, however. I think I'll be spending the summer down here, hopefully make it further South.

How about yourself?

Minnesota in September to see my friend Angie get married. That's about it. Still trying to pay off the San Fran & London trips. Any plans to see the States this year?

Cursing at students... What a marvelous idea.

So... Toronto... *jealous* You've been on the go a lot more than I as of late. What's urging you overseas this time?

Would you believe it's actually been SUNNY and ROASTING HOT in Ireland all this week!! No really, I'm not kidding!

Also got that new job I was supposed to get....um.............. 3 years ago or something now? ?:OP

I'm already planning that ski-ing trip to Bulgaria next year aswell. I dunno, maybe I just have too much time on my hands now.

So what's been happening in the land of Brooke?

I think it's great - just jealous because I haven't left this city for months.

Sunny and roasting? In Ireland. There is sun. And it's not hidden by clouds... For more than fifteen minutes at a time.

hahahahahahahahahahaha You're funny.

Congratulations on the job then! A little bit slow on the uptake are they? Least they finally came around. Does that mean you're done with the extended overtime and midnight shifts?

The land of Brooke has been relatively peaceful. I've been taking things easier lately, decided there is no point in rushing to get it all done in record time. What's another year? I hope to do some more travelling just within New Zealand at semester break. Any recommendations?

I don't understand how people can go through toilet paper so quickly. They seem to use a huge wad of it every time. Completely unnecessary. In Russia there were four of us sharing an apartment. I'd buy four rolls at a time and stack them beside the toilet. A couple of days later, we'd be down to half a roll. I think they must have been giving the rolls away. I didn't like the idea of supplying toilet paper for other people in the building, so I'd keep a roll in my closet. When I went to the bathroom I'd take it with me and use it, and then I'd take it back to my room with me and put it back in my closet ( ... )

Heh. That is funny. It's good to know I'm not the only one with toilet paper anxiety. Early on we'd agreed to share such supplies, I'm thinking now that was a bad idea. You have a much better concept of how to deal.

It is weird. I guess the human body is screwed up in ways even doctors don't understand.

the fight that finally made my parents divorce was over 'who left the top off the toothpaste'.....It's the little things that piss people off.

I hear about stuff like that and I know a little from experience. It's the little things that build up and gather to form huge things unfortunately.
