Still far too humid

The thing I love most about the people here is that they, for the most part, play it straight. There is no subltey to try to decode, there is no applesauce, no mixed messages. You know where you stand with people, and for the most part, you don't have to shy away from showing others where they stand. The people I've met a a heck of a lot more ( Read more... )

I always hated that word, organic. Like "organic foods." As opposed to inorganic foods? Trust me, even foods that have been bathed in pesticides for their entire growing lives are still carbon-based...

Yeah... I don't buy into this whole organic food craze. It seems to be just an excuse to charge more.

I think the word has been overused to the point that it no longer carries it's original meaning. Organic clothing, organic shampoo, organic dishwasher detergent. It's bizarre. I even heard a fellow musician's style being referred to as organic. I ask you, how do you play guitar organically?

Current Pet Peeve: The word "organic". It's used so inappropriately, so blindly. Drives me nutty.
this is hilarious...
I JUST (as in 2 minutes ago!) told my coworker I was eating an "organic" cookie! I don't know why I used that word, but I thought my wife said they were...
whatever! :-P

Organic cookies? Has the world lost utter sense of reality? Jeepers.

No matter how they fancy up the title, I still prefer home-made. :-)

It's really nice when you don't worry what people think of you. It's a great way to live.

It's the only way to live. Otherwise you're living for other people. What's the logic in that?

All the best. *hugs*

know where they belong psychowomble May 1 2006, 10:37:55 UTC
I had been travelling and returned to Kiwiland via Rarotonga. On the beach a local raised his eybrows in silent greeting, and then leant his hand on my shoulder as he talked to me, and I knew I wasn't far from home. People who know where they belong, who know what they are, don't have anything about which to pretend.
