Ummm... Franziska...

Let's see...

Oh! I ... I always thought we could be good friends if we got to know each other well. I think you and I could be pretty close, but I dunno how to really go about it! I guess that's all... Huh...

Happy Valentine's Day, Miss von Karma!! :D

*Gumshoe appears to have painstakingly cut a piece of brown construction paper into a spiral, with a handle to make it unmistakably representing a whip. He has written in what looks like white-out (to be readable) along the coil: "It's good to have you back, Ms. von Karma. Thanks for sending me my coat that one time! I met a guy from Germany on the bus the other day! Happy Valentines Day, sir!"*

*Though it's on her personal stationery as the rest of her notes are, Adrian's handwriting on her valentine to Franziska is subtly different, as though she's attempting to make it as perfect as she possibly can--there's no hint of crossing out, either (because any errors are likely crumpled up at the bottom of a wastebasket).
"Franziska-

I'm so happy I know you. You're truly a remarkable woman with talents and skills I could never dream of, and also a wonderful person who I am proud to know and call friend. A part of me is always looking forward to spending time together with you, and the rest follows suit. I'm amazed by your ability as the professional Prosecutor von Karma; I'm so very glad to know you as Franziska, one of my closest friends.

Thank you so much for everything.

Happy Valentine's Day, Franziska.

Yours,
Adrian."

Beneath her signature, almost as an afterthought, she has scribbled a single heart*
