How sweet it is to be loved by you!
So the extreme lack of Leah online recently has to do with the fact that I finally broke down and sent my laptop "in" to be fixed. The dvd player hasn't been working, and every time I try to play one of my dvd's my computer freezes up and then crashes when I try to eject the disc. Poo. Got it back and it's still not working. Pissed.
However! Much has happened in my downtime. For example: my birthday. :D I am the big 20 as of the 17th and I think I'm happy about that. Ironic that you cant wait to become a teenager, but then look forward just as much to not being a teenager...whatever :P Also, the John returned from his weeks in the desert just in time for the party, and there was much rejoicing. Also of note; Kerry brought a sushi-buddy from her hometown of Riverside and there was much enjoyment of their company, I began taking nice long (min. 6 mi.) walks through the park and have benefitted by slimming down a touch, and I spent mega-quality time with my girls :D
Christa came to town yesterday, sadly because Felix had passed, but happily because it meant that I got to see her anyways. Then --wonder of wonders-- we had an honest-to-god fruit night. The original gang all together again :D Sweet. Went to see Stacey's new apartment (YAY) and be wierdly amused that I already knew the layout. It's in the same complex as John's old apartment and they're blocked out the same way. Felt oddly familliar, and yet not. Good times :D
And on yet another note of import: school! That's right, my nights are shot, cuz now I've got class at 8:00 in the morning, all week long. It's nice to be back in school, even though it means I actually have to do work now :P Having all my classes in the mornings gives me the afternoons all to myself and since I've got all that time I've been considering taking a job on campus. *laughs* It'll give me something to do, if nothing else :P But seriously, it would be nice to have that "little extra" coming in to help out. I love my classes so far, but books seem more ridiculously priced as the years go by...
I'm happy to have my lappytop back :D
