This is actually a really tough question for me to answer anon. Obviously a lot would have to do with when we're talking about her theoretically dying and how, since there were points throughout history where that was feasible, especially by Prussia's hands. For simplicity's sake I'll assume you mean in modern day, 2012-like scenario where entire nations can be wiped off the map so completely like that.

To be honest, Prussia would be absolutely devastated. Not like collapsing into a weeping bundle upon hearing the news or something, but I think she'd be the most effected (except maybe Hungary or Germany though ymmv on those relationships). And I don't mean this in a shippy way, though I doubt my preference is a secret, but just generally speaking, Austria and Prussia both canonically and historically are so involved with each other's lives I doubt they can really imagine life without the other.

Pretty much as soon as Austria was born she's had influence in Prussia's life in one way or another. First as a master of sorts, depending on how you look at the Hapsburg's control of HRE effecting Teuton, then as an adversaries and occasionally as allies to now where they are weirdly co-dependent on each other in that they're both co-dependent on Germany. No matter the nature of the relationship she's not so cold as to completely ignore that type of presence in her life. I mean no one can deny they're not rainbows and sunshines with each other but to be completely uncaring or even happy about her death is just too detached.

Basically, though she'll never admit this under threat of her own death, she considers Austria family. She knows her better than anyone and visa versa and they both know it. Pretty much her entire existence as a Kingdom was spent fighting Austria and when you devote over 200 years to waring with someone and you're both strategical masterminds you learn how to get inside their head. They know what makes the other tick, knows how the other thinks, they're the greatest challenge the other has ever had. And while in modern day their relationship is mostly Prussia inviting herself over to bug Austria for cake or to steal her underwear the history and the mentality from that history never goes away.

They've always been in opposition to each other either for political reasons or because their personalities clash so much but they do so in a ying yang sort of way. And just like a ying yang neither of them is purely black and white, even when they're screaming and pulling hair and throwing punches and slashing swords and genuinely wishing death upon the other there's always something empty if the two of them aren't together.

That's really the best way I can think to describe it, if Austria really died Prussia would feel empty. She wouldn't know what to do with herself. She's annoying and uppity and judges her constantly and she finds her so frustrating but, though Prussia is loathe to use this word since she fought so hard to keep it from being true, it really would be like loosing a sister. They never get along and bicker more than should be humanly possible but somewhere deep inside she cares and couldn't bare loosing her.

None of this is to say she'd become a hermit or become really depressed or anything like that. On the outside she'd stay herself mostly, but she'd have more down times than usual. Times where she would be bugging Austria instead she'd be melancholy. She'd probably retreat more into the past when Germany doesn't need her but like most things Prussia's stupid obnoxious behavior tends to cover up her serious thoughts so most people wouldn't notice.

And actually I think she'd probably start talking to her too, like she does with Fritz. Like, "Hey you spoiled fake princess did you see, my economy finally caught up with West's! I freaking told you I'd be back to normal in no time!! Kesesese, you better keep watching over me you brat so you regret leaving before my awesome comeback!!!!" Prussia is egocentric in a lot a lot of ways but she knows and appreciate when people help make her great and she would acknowledge that of Austria if she were suddenly forced to confront her death.

So. Yeah. Damn this is was depressing but I hope I answered your question anon
