This was harder than I thought. I mean, how do you recast Helen Magnus? Amanda Tapping is Helen Magnus. I ended up with Helena Bonham Carter because she can do anything. I'd have loved to keep Heyerdahl and Wingfield in their parts as well because they're perfect. I initially went for Christopher Eccleston as Druitt but then I thought of Iain Glen because he's so good at playing a subtle mix of sweetness and danger. The other characters were much easier to recast. (And now I must stop thinking about the awesomess of a show that would have all these actors in it.)
