Holy improvement! I love seeing how your style has both changed and stayed the same, but with more control. I really love the vibrance in your icons now and it doesn't feel overwhelming at all, since you've learned to balance it out with other things. Happy 2013! I have a feeling you won't have too much trouble making 'proper' icons. :)
