We love her, right?
Urggh. Of course we do. Tory, that is. Sometimes I just have to keep saying that to myself, though. So, she desperately wanted a video camera that recorded on dvd for Christmas. So, we got her one. $500 worth of one. She talked about taking it to school. We expressly forbid taking it to school. She took it to school anyway, and, BIG surprise, it was stolen. This happened 6 days ago, and she finally worked up the courage to tell us, and even then, it was in the form of a note that she knew would be found after she had left for school. She is terribly, terribly, contrite and sorry. Sigh. What are we gonna do? The loss of the camera is just about as much punishment as anything we could do, and, to her credit, she knows better than to ask for a replacement. Sigh.
