our weathermen (channel 7 specifically) are either hilarious or tweaked or both.
From Channel 7 Weather Center online, forecast details:
So you thought winter was over with that 55 degrees yesterday, eh?
"Oh no, what's this? A spider web and I'm caught in the middle" (Coldplay).
That midwestern storm ingested some air from the Gulf of Mexico last night and expanded from Nebraska to Florida and up to D.C. Good news is that we only need to concern ourselves with the northern fringe of this system. Bad news....well, do I really have to say it?
With the forecast changing so quickly on this storm, what are the chances that we will skip out on big accumulations? Hmmmm...'bout as likely as a Marilyn Manson/Celine Dion tour this fall.
Worst of the storm should be from midnight to 6am tomorrow. Snow will be pasty and wet, but should leave the treated roads mostly wet - not icy. See the "Special Map" above for amounts.
No slouching! Keep in mind that if this were winter, we'd be looking at up to 20" of snow.
I'm sure "God put a smile upon your face" (Coldplay again) over that.
