i went for a run today and on my way back i went poster shopping. i bought a poster of van gogh's starry night, and one of john lennon with the lyrics to "imagine" on the side. now i've put them up, next to my jim morisson poster (wich i LOVE - it's perfect) and my french dali-like surrealist painting poster, but my room is far from perfect.

on my way home, i stopped by a shwarma place and got a shwarma, and while the woman at the store was making my shwarma, this super loud fire alarm-like noise went off, and she just went on making my shwarma. i looked at the woman, first wide-eyed, then smiling quite a bit, and she just looked at me blankly like everything was normal. when the noise stopped, i asked her if that happened often, and she said, "oh yeah, every ten minutes." i think it was ten minutes that she said - it was hard to understand her. during the noise, some potential customers had opened the door, heard the noise, and then turned away. so here she was losing business because of this awful noise, but she didn't care. it was entirely an odd shwarma purchase experience.
