(no subject)
A friend was asking me about a song, that happened to be by Kenny Loggins, old skool Kenny Logins...
But now I have "I'm Alright" (mid skool loggins) stuck in my head. And have this strange urge to watch Caddyshack.
I spent the weekend in CT with my Mom. It was lovely to do a whole lot of nothing.
Now I'm just working. I start my day at 8 am on campus at the Macdowell lab, preparing CHN samples. Then I come back to my lab at the USFS and microwave samples that have already been CHN-ed. As well as other misc. work...such as grinding beech leaves that have been purposefully buried underground in various plots of Hubbard Brook for the past six years. Sounds dull but quite fun because I have this awesome grinding machine that makes the most awful sound. Also shatterboxing is on the list there...and when ever we get our new TDN instrument, I will be running nitrogen tests on water samples. We're back logged on water TDN for the past four years because the instrument has been broken and my boss finally managed to convince the Gov't that we need new machine.
The Gov't sends a Senator off to Scotland to golf and stay at a thousand dollar a night resort while they pinch out on the labs who need instruments to keep the angry researchers off our backs!

Dickens is losing weight, he's down from 22 lbs to about 18.... a good start... I love my fat boy but it's pretty sad when a cat can't clean his own arse because his tummy is humongous. I just hope he hasn't forgotten how to clean his arse.
I actually had Dicky on my stomach the other day while I was laying down on my couch, and I started singing this naughty song to him that my mom used to sing when she was a little girl, which is really bad so I won't post the lyrics here but I'll post them in a friends only post because they are naughty and I don't want anyone to get mad, but anyway I was singing it to him and started laughing and he got mad at me and jumped off. I swear he knew I was making fun of him, either that or he didn't like being bounced around because I was laughing so hard and he was on my stomach.

Anyway, I guess that's all the horseshit I'm going to blab about for now. Cheers!
