Sarah,
By dividing the Modernist idea into two separate issues (animalisma and
hypocrisy) associated with two separate characters, you made the point quite
clearly. The prison landscape is itself an infernal one, like the battlefield,
which also came through pretty clearly in the movie. Certain things about the
prison environment are more postmodern -- particularly the emphasis on loss of
identity, but that seemed less a part of this movie than some.
Grade: A
