Well... i'll probably not be Broadway's newest shining star just yet...
i got to Howard University at about 6:30 am and wandered around looking for where the auditions were going to be held... there was a gentleman who had been there since 5:30 am... that was it for awhile... then more people finally showed up...
So... it was a lot of hurry up and wait... i was second to audition... the aforementioned gentleman who showed up earlier was first... and on his way out whispered to me that the accompaniast (?) sucked... more or less...
Guess what... he was SO right!!!! Some of the worst piano accompaniement i've ever had... sheesh, ya think Disney on Broadway coulda hired someone BETTER? He got me so lost on a song i KNOW... just by the way he was messing up the tempo... AAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!
However, at least it was audition experience...
And there will be other auditions... i'm making a ritual out of looking at the Auditions in the Weekend Section of The Post every Friday...
Went shopping today... did some damage to my JC Penney's card... but i got two new pairs of shoes and a new wallet... the Badtz Maru one i got at Kings Dominion last year was just falling apart...
No waiting shift tonight, apparently... ah well, there's a new episode of *Charmed* on tonight... & i can get to sleep fairly early...
