Some things I drew

I had just the most excellent Saturday yesterday. It started with discovering that the Japanese place a few blocks down from where we live is a sushi buffet - yum. Then I went to Avid Reader and bought The Virgin Suicides. I haven't seen the movie, but I really loved Middlesex so I'm looking forward to reading this one. Also it had the most beautiful cover.

Then we went to a little cupcake shop that has opened up down the road. It was the cutest thing ever and the cupcakes were delicious. Also there was other shopping. It was nice to feel like I was properly appreciating my suburb for once.

Anyway, I finally got around to scanning some sketchbook things, so here are four drawings; two recent and two from the christmas holidays.

I drew this at work and had a babybird song in my head... I accidentally drew the top hand backwards and tried to fix it by scribbling over it in frustration. That didn't work out so well.

This one I drew at work as well. Too much Bioshock for Kier. I guess it is a Spider splicer. I totally got a bunch of new copic markers from my family for my birthday so I was experimenting with those. I have SO MANY copic markers now it is a bit depressing thinking of their total worth.

This is a Christmas Holidays drawing. Four schoolboys? Possibly Victorian?

And finally another holidays drawing. This time a Victorian schoolgirl.

I totally drew so many more things that I'd planned on scanning in but so much time has passed for some reason I deemed only these two worthy of sharing.
