Tonight's comic was inspired by an old animated sesame street sketch.
There's this kid in bed, and every time his parents turn out the light and close the door this huge shadow with sharp teeth appears and starts dancing. It's creepy! In the end, it turns out it was the dog, dancing and making the shadows. Still creepy! A dancing, manipulative dog? No thank you!
On friday night we did a bit more urban exploring, this time at a bizzare pink building near the hospital. It used to be home to a sign company, and some kids have turned the carpark outside into a skate park. Just like the barracks, the whole thing was boarded and welded up really well, and we couldn't do much more than climb around on the outside and look in through some of the windows. The plywood that's over the front door would give way pretty easily, but make a lot of noise. We had fun anyway, and Bob found a shovel.
After we got bored of climbing around on drainpipes and tapping at windows we decided to go find the factory in Indooroopilly. But we sort of got lost and ended up at Cassie's house. It was unlocked and all the lights were on, but nobody seemed to be home. So we rearranged the furniture, wrote some absurdist notes and left.
There has to be at least one accessible abandoned building in Brisbane, but we haven't found it yet. I also have yet to find any ghosts but I do have a creepy story.
My computer speakers sometimes pick up radio, when I've got them turned down too far. Sometimes it's audible, but most of the time you have to put your ear right up to them to hear it.
The other night they got to their usual "just audible" level, but instead of staying on one station it kept cycling through them, like someone playing with the dial on a radio. Then it started playing music-box music. It was really haunting and creepy. After a while it got really, really loud. That's when I turned the speakers off.
Not ghosts, but I sure was freaked out at the time!
