I'm posting my poem. Comment if you want. You dont have to tho.

The One

Life isnt fair
thats what they always told me,
So i learned fast how to get my way.
I dont lie, I dont cheat.
To get liked, to get kept, all i do is look sweet.
The boys fall, but they dont always say.
Sometimes i feel like they see right through
They see right through the happiness
and figure how to bring the sadness.
They make me feel loved
they make me feel grand.
They make me feel like the best they've ever had.
Then, when the time comes to leave
to say good bye
they drop me, like i never meant a thing.

He told me he liked me, that he'd never hurt me
In there he added that he wasnt ready,
He was ready for sex
he was ready for fun
he just wasnt ready to call me the one.
Not the one of his life. I didnt want that.
But maybe the one for now, that would have been nice
He wasnt ready then, that was ok.
He said when he was he'd give me a ring.
Its been a few months.
Six to be exact.
And still no call.
He did find the one.
It just isnt me.
