In general, we find ourselves constantly meeting bridges which we cannot cross. This is not because the bridges are uncrossable, but it is that we cannot convince ourselves we are able to cross the bridge and to leave behind the other side of the river. This is not to say that staying where you are is a bad thing, but fear of moving forward constantly drives many of us to inaction. Through inaction, we become somewhat useless and usually let everything around us fall to inaction as well. In order to solve problems which we have yet to see, we must be prepared to "cross that bridge when we come to it" rather than wait around until we are already facing it. In short, our inaction towards preparedness ultimately casts us to the ground when we arrive and are fearful. Bridges are not always crossing rivers, and some lead to back the way we came, but they all keep us going somewhere others have been, much like life. If the bridge exists, clearly someone else has crossed it before us; hence, we should look to see how they crossed it and determine whether or not that solution will help us in our crossing. We must look to our elders for advice, but also recognize that the solution they used may not be the same one we would chose. Life consists of many choices, and no matter what choice you, the choice you make will be right for your given existence at that point. Why live life in fear? While others have been where we are and successfully conquered the bridges that lie before us, our inaction creates evil and fear which does not bode well in "modern day" thought. With the internet and "fast and now" solutions that have come about that allow people to be inactive for hours at a time, we only further propagate the fear which we are trying to rid ourselves of. This is not to say that technology is bad; however, we must realize that there is more to life than crossing bridges which though may seem easy to cross, ultimately lead us to nowhere.
