Inexpensive relaxing vacation?
Can any of you think of an inexpensive, relatively close place we can go to just chill out? We're pondering a Memorial Day long-weekend kind of getaway as a stress reliever, but Cristin will be 7 months pregnant then, so the kinds of vacations I tend to plan (aka, do the most shit in the shortest timeframe covering the largest geographic area) are not only stupid in this case, they're minorly dangerous. Appropriate (nearby) states for this would be Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, and maybe New York. I've thought of maybe renting a cottage on one of the little Michigan lakes, but can you think of any other ideas I haven't in general, or have specific suggestions of places to stay?
