My five issues with Harry Potter

Well, the big issues, anyways. If we go for the small ones, I'd take all night.

Cut for those of you that haven't read it yet. )

1. Totally disagree. Considering that so many had been killed ONSCREEN, it's very tasteful that not everyone be killed in the narrators (that is, Harry's) viewing, to give more reality to the world we're inhabitting. Some times, you'll come back from the war to find your good friend dead-- that's good, grounded stuff. Especially the numbness thereafter.

2. On Inyigo Montoya, you've got a point.

3. George being pretty well left out isn't great either.

4. Draco would ALWAYS be Draco-- an innocent coward swept by events and family pride. That's the point and that remains the point-- he's a harmless tosser, even till the end.

On could also make an argument that Draco having the Wand's ownership set it up easier for Harry to (inevitably) become the new owner.

5. I never understand why people complain about this.

It's tidy. So what? It's a kids book, even after the death, pain and tedium-- let there be a happy ending, already.

You know if she didn't, people would ask for more books. As it stands, now, we already know what happens: which is the END of HARRY POTTER. Happily.

Also, if you look it up, there's a lot of interviews now with specifics about Luna and others. It's interesting.
