So I made it. I had to work hard and try not to mind too much that my friends could go out to celebrate New Year after we had dined, while I had to hurry home so I could still snatch a few hours of sleep before having to work again, but besides that small sore, it wasn't too bad.
So, people waiting for a HaH update, I'm on it! I've written a small part again today, but it might take a while because the stuff I had so far was pretty awful. I'm happy Jules, my beta, is so patient with me. Let's all give Jules the applause she deserves!
Also new year's resolution: DRAW AGAIN DAMMIT!!! honestly.
Uhm, I also went to see Appasionata, a horse show that was mighty awesome. Now I want a donkey, but I'm quite sure I won't be allowed to. But come on, that donkey could do tricks! Cool tricks! If I ever get a donkey I'll teach it the macarena. That's be made of win.
On to the dollies then. So. What else was awesome (this seems to be the word of the day)? I GOT VERITAS! Whoopwhoop. Thank you, almighty boyfriend.
So here she is. I was amazed at how beautiful her face-up is. It's actually very detailed, but natural. Plus you can smack just about any wig on her and she still looks good! I'm hoping Kstarr will open soon so I can get her the gradient red one I've been lusting after ever since I saw it on a girl that visits the bakery sometimes.
Also she needs an obitsu. I'm confident it will change her whole personality. Now she's still a bit mousy, while she's supposed to be the mature knock-out lady of the bunch.
I've named her Kat from Katerina. I knew that'd be her name ever since I knew she was coming.
Next up Jacky. And guess what? I fixed her scars!
The little horse is actually a keychain. But it somehow seemed perfect for Jacky. I guess it'll be called Mr. Sparkly Pants or something.
Finally Noah.
I gave her an obitsu. It really does wonders to her attitude. But because of her yellowish skintone, I had to tone her since no obitsu nor Volks body matches her. Toning is a nightmare. At times it looked so blotchy that I was sure I had ruined the body. I'm happy it turned out alright.
With all the extra money I made, I caved and bought Prunella, too. Prunella! THE doll I found so over-rated in the beginning. While everybody went out of their minds and ordered her, I was like 'meh, so she has blue hair. Big deal'. But hooboy, was I wrong. Ever since I saw the first 'owner' pictures I, too, was bitten by the Prunella big. I don't know what it is, but I think it's her face. She's got gorgeous lips and awesome eyes. It's not the blue wig, though. Already I have ordered a new one for her.
Okay, done ranting.
Thanks for looking!
