Makes one wonder how long it would take for elven traditions to change in such manners, doesn't it?

The longer we live amongst humans, the more prone we become to adopting their traditions and habits. But, it may take much longer - it takes longer for the sticklers for tradition to die off or to be outnumbered by the more progressive youth.
