I thought I was the only person who still listened to old Depeche Mode songs. I actually pierced my own nose while listening to Personal Jesus. But my fav is Somebody.

Anyway wanted to say hi and glad to see all is well.

You've been hanging around the wrong crowds, I barely know anyone who doesn't listen to Depeche Mode at least occasionally. On top of that, Lacuna Coil recently covered Enjoy the Silence so I should imagine there will be lots of kindergoths all learning about them for the first time as well, hopefully anyway. :o)

Oh, and hello, hope all is well with you too :o)

here they are like 80's has beens I suppose. Of course I don't really know many goths as it were. I just love them!

80's hasbeens seems to sum up most Goth music anyway :o)

At the end of the day when you spend your time listening to Sisters of Mercy, Bahuas and The Mission it's a bit silly to start worrying about how old the music is :oD

Besides, 80's music rocks :oD Think it was one of the best decades myself :o)

Did the Depeche Mode tour get to America then?

I would have went whilst they were touring in England but £30 (erm, $50?) a ticket is a bit much for me really. Apparently though they must be still fairly big here because they can get away with charging that much :o)

Unlike Human League whose concerts are a little bit more low-key now :o) They played in my city a while ago, but I was distracted with other things. Besides, Philip Oakey has no hair anymore, wouldn't want to spoil my illusions :o)

They get played down my local club anyway, everyone loves a bit of Synth-Rock, though I think there are other songs that get played more they're mostly bands that are known only for the one song really, like Dead or Alive's 'You Spin me Right Round', whilst Depeche Mode has a somewhat more intense following :o)

But hey, all good :o)

I haven't heard of them touring again in the US. Perhaps they just didn't come to Cincinnati. Who knows!
