last couple of weeks
Diary: Week of 01/05: study specific lethargy, Buffy and bandwidth problems
This week I have been suffering from way too much lethargy. I call it lethargy because it sounds more like it's not my own bone idle self's fault that way. It's really not my fault that the computer is easier that doing what I'm supposed to do, it just sits there taunting me. Still, I need to get the second one set up soon really, just have to find out what network disc it has in it and then there will be two functional computers in my room, yay! :oD
In any case, didn't have any lectures on the Monday because it was a Bank Holiday, thus Monday was spend watching Buffy. Tuesday I went into university for one lecture, and then walked down to the Avenue campus and handed in my options sheet. Should they not change the options (which may be unlikely) I should be studying Philosophy of Mathematics, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, and Philosophical Psychology next semester (not doing Ethics and Literature). Should be fun.
I'm sure I met up with elegy_of_flames for some short period of time that day... yes, I think I did because she texted me to let me know she was heading down to the university, so I parked myself at the bus stop and watched multiple buses pass by before learning she'd been and gone (somehow getting out of the bus and wandering off without me realizing it) and tells me she's heading down to the SUSU cafe so I very quickly walk my way over there and somehow don't see her on the way and find she's not there either, so I wait around for five minutes before calling her and it turns out she got distracted by a book sale the floor above so I finally find her up there.
Anyway, after that I went home to find my bandwidth had run out on my site, which is staggering because I have a thousand megs of the stuff. It can't be the website itself it must be the images I have on my vampirefreaks and myspace profiles or something. In any case, am going to be getting a new server and probably a new domain name as well now *nods*
Wednesday to Friday are a bit of a blur now thinking back on them, I probably watched lots of Buffy or something. I did try to arrange to see dreamfairyhel a few times I think but failed :o( Shame, don’t see enough of her.
Saturday me and elegy_of_flames took a trip down town. Some people on my Southampton_VF community I own had been talking about a bunch of them meeting down town at Mayflower Park which seemed a good excuse to get out of the house, though we never ended up meeting up with them anyway, just walking about talking about role-play games and setting material *nods* Then back to mine for Buffy watching on the Saturday and Sunday, yay Buffy! :o)
Diary: Week of 08/05: uni, dungeon, slimelight, fetish parties
Monday I was up and in university early for my tutorial, but that's all I had that day so I walked down to town to do a bit of shopping, save mother doing it later. Unfortunately this led me to discover this really gorgeous looking reduced-to-clear has-to-be-eaten-today Flake chocolate cake and me not really having much choice to by it. I invited elegy_of_flames over to watch Buffy with me and eat it, was a -very- rich cake, very good :o) Was the end of Buffy as well, kind of odd to think I'll never watch a new episode of Buffy again :o( The last season of Angel seems good though, and they brought Spike back which rocks :o)
Tuesday I did... not much.
Wednesday I only went to one of my lectures before deciding to go shopping with elegy_of_flames, not that we found much of interest. Was a bit annoyed because the last few days I'd been dressing in heat-friendly clothes and it had been cold, and that morning it has seemed not hot, so I put my leathers back on, and then the heat came back and baked me, arrgh!
Went to Dungeon that night, which seems to have had a nice paintjob since I was last there and is looking a ton better, and I got to see x-demolition/Maz and dreamfairyhel, which was pretty fab. I haven't seen dreamfairyhel in ages and don't see her enough full stop. Maz took lots of bad pictures of the four of us which are posted on her livejournal, I look terrible in all of them. Unfortunately elegy_of_flames got uncharacteristically ill early on, and hasn't been able to stomach much alcohol since, Maz got very ill and from what I hear dreamfairyhel was feeling the effects. So yea, all three girls drinking Vodka and Cokes didn't come out of it okay, and there were only two people left alone with the drinks at one point, one of them was elegy_of_flames who lacks the motivation or the means do do these thins. I shalln't go into anything more about it here but there's a certain asshole that I personally really hope I haven't seen the last off because he needs to get his comeback for that.
So, after taking elegy_of_flames home after she got ill I woke up around her's on Thursday, but was too lazy to go to my first lecture. I spent the best part of the evening reading through tons of Megatokyo, which is my new vice just in time for exam period :o) Friday was in and out of university and back to MegaTokyo. I was invited out to go to Unit 22 but had plans on going to London on the Saturday so decided to get some sleep and save some money instead. Reading internet cartoons is much cheaper.
The weekend I thought was very good. Went up to London and went to the Devonshire Arms, but that place can be so boring sometimes I convinced elegy_of_flames to leave with me and we just walked for a while. Think elegy_of_flames was a bit annoyed because bastard faith had her friends turn up after we'd gone, oh well. Guess I had no way to know it was going to get interesting... Did get given a sheet of paper (with an article about how silly women that try to pull gays are) with a cute boy's email address and livejournal on it though, which I thought was pretty cool. You know you're living in the modern era when bits of paper come with email addresses and not phone numbers :o)
Slimelight was good, met some new people, danced a bit, the normal. Then afterwards went to a fetish after-party which I quite enjoyed doing just because it seemed such an interesting experience. I would have though that naked people walking around would have made me uncomfortable, but with multiple people doing it so naturally and without any shame it just seems to sink into the mind as 'normal'. Most people there were older than me, most not significantly so but some on the more mature ages, that bothers some people but it doesn't bother me much. I'm not saying I find such things particularly attractive, but I don't find it repulsive either, not sure why some people do. I guess we live in a culture that is revolted by age really, like it's revolted at the merest curve of fat. I think its refreshing to see older people exhibiting sexuality, our culture tries to deny it to them but that seems entirely unfair.
After that me and elegy_of_flames went and got something to eat and slept on the coach home. I didn't actually go to sleep until past twelve that night due to being on the computer though :o)
