Texan, sideburned love of my 20's? I'm So Lame...
Well, Stefani/Stefano the Praying Mantis died. She was creepy and I am certain she was constantly planning my demise, but she was a good pet while she lasted.

Just when I think that my need for The Beatles is waning, I suddenly feel the need to permeate my life with them again. I blame Ringo (why? you may ask, well why not). I recently watched a documentary on their first U.S. visit and I feel the need to be immersed in Beatlesness. I think, this time, instead of listening to every Beatles song I’ve ever heard, I will focus on the solo careers. I have not so subtly requested from any interested family members “Photograph: The Best of Ringo Starr” for the holidays (I must own it! As a Ringo fangirl I must!). I checked out “Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon” and Paul McCartney’s “Back in the U.S. Live 2002” from the library and have been getting strangely if not pathetically emotional every time I hear “Working Class Hero.”
In other, other news my mother would be so proud of me, I cooked! Yes, I FINALLY went and bought groceries last night and made a feast of macaroni & cheese, pancakes, and chocolate cake. None of them turned out very good mind you (this is my cooking we’re talking about here, I‘m the only person I know unable to properly cook macaroni and cheese *shakes head sadly*) but it was a feast nonetheless!
In other, other, other news “The Monkees,” “House” and “Heroes” will inevitably be the death of me. My statistics textbook misses me, my bird misses me, and even my cats miss me! In the longest celebration marathon ever, I am STILL re-watching The Monkees television show in honor of its 41st anniversary. At least I’m on season two now…
I found out something though, whilst watching The Monkees. I officially support Mike Nesmith as my favorite character now. I know I am a traitor to Davy, but he was the love of my childhood, Mike is the Texan, sideburned love of my 20’s.
House season 3 is a little bizarre to watch because all the really good parts of the show have already been made into icons for Livejournal so little of the jokes are new to me, but now at least I’m in on the jokes too! Heroes, what to say about heroes… well I love Hiro! I am kidnapping him and making him come live with me!
