My review of the new HP movie.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 REVIEW
I was in awe of this movie. So much so, that I’m going to make a list of scenes that I particularly liked. If you haven’t seen the movie, don’t read this, for it contains spoilers.
- The dragon. The dragon was pretty interesting, but I thought that it might appear again in the movie, which it failed to do. Either way, it was quite interesting.
- Neville. When Neville first appeared in this movie, I flailed my arms a bit in the theater. I love his character so much, he’s just so awkward, but he’s got such a big heart at the same time. And he likes plants.
- When we arrive back at Hogwarts, it surprised me at how...low it had gotten. Comparing to when we first saw it in the first movie, quite the change.
- Seeing Prof. Mcgonagall fight. That was pretty cool I guess, because it's the first time you see her, like really see her, and who she is.
- Neville and Luna. When he asks Harry where he thinks she might be so he can tell her before they die (which they thankfully don’t) that was like, -major happy moment- for me. And towards the end of the movie too. One of the few het pairing I support.
- Harry/Draco moment. I wish that scene were longer, when Harry rescued Draco and they were ON THE BROOM TOGETHER. Major squee moment again. It would’ve been awesome if when they fell off the broom, they landed on top of each other.
- When we see Lucius Malfoy. He looks quite...decrepit. At first I didn’t know, and then when he said his name, I was like “...Oh my god. It is him.” Quite a change from when he is first introduced.
- Listening to Ron speak parceltongue was definitely hot. In my humble opinion.
- The Ron/Hermione kiss after they stabbed that hocrux was...kind of random. Again, in my humble opinion.
- Snape. I loathe the fact that Snape died. And when we take a look at all his memories with Harry’s mom and such, my eyes start watering all over again. It’s just so sad.
- Another sad part was the death of...Fred...George...? One of the Weasley twins. I wish they would’ve shown the twin that was still alive, and more of how he reacted to the death of his twin. It’s almost like a part of him died. *starts bawling* Omg and they're both just so BEAUTIFUL! And it's even more sad because of the fact that I ship these two! *continues crying*
- The scene when Voldie had Harry cornered, and then Harry said “Let’s finish this how we started it, together!” or something along those lines, and then I started giggling like a madwoman when he put his arms around him. You can guess as to why.
- DRACO WHY DID YOU RUN AWAY. I wish we could’ve seen more Draco.
- The end of the movie. Ohmigawd, BABIES. I love that Ron and Hermione got together, and then they had a MINI RON. Harry and Ginny just didn’t work for me, although it was inevitable. And then you see Draco and some woman with their kid, which was just awkward. Anybody know who that lady was? ‘Cause I have no clue, but I’d like to know.
Sorry, no picture for that one^
- And I guess that wraps things up. As you probably could’ve told, I have never read the books. Please don’t kill me.
Hope you enjoyed my review! I’m gonna go away now and try to re-grow the nails that I chewed off.
