Chester

I took a day off work to have a break.  I got my last parcel mailed and sent out my Christmas cards, and then I headed over to Chester to do the last of my Christmas shopping.

As it was a week-day, and we normally head down on Saturdays, it was relatively quiet.  I got such Christmas presents as I had left to get, and generally had a nice time.  Two random strangers admired my bobble-hat (+50 make strangers talk to you; -30 scariness).  I also bought myself a discounted dress which defies the laws of nature in that it looks shapeless on the hanger but nice on me.  Weird...
Anyhoo, am in a much better mood than I have been the last few days.

I located a branch of Aba-Khan I didn't know existed.*  I was good though, I already have more fabric than I'm ever likely to use so I didn't buy any fabric.
Please, please don't ask about knitting yarn.

I saw a terrifying street entertainer all in white with a white mask who stood veeery still and instantly triggered every Dr Who monster related nightmare I've had in my life.  Would have taken a photo, but was worried that duplicating its image would give it power.

Now I intend to clear the living room so I can put up the Christmas tree, and complete Ellen's present for before I see her on the weekend.

*For those of you not from round here Aba-Khan is a huge warehouse of fabrics, knitting yarns, assorted haberdashery and fabric-related-craft stuff.  However the place is in the arse-end of nowhere and requires an expedition to specifically go there as it's never on the way to somewhere else.

day out, christmas
