Holden and I had back-to-back doctor visits today. The appointments started at 11am -- we left the clinic at 1pm. Holden had his basic 3 year check-up and was updated with his shots. He was a trooper and received a Scooby Doo sticker as a reward.
I was the one that took the longest. I had blood taken so they can run tests to determine if I am allergic to gluten. Until we get the test results back, it was recommended that I cut dairy out of my diet for 1-2 weeks just to see if it helps any. I am also being scheduled for a visit with another doctor to stick a scope down my throat to try and determine why I have difficulty swallowing. Basically it just feels like my throat is coated with honey or molasses all the time. We are also scheduling a sleep test to determine if I have sleep apnea due to my constant and (according to Carl) very loud snoring. Yep, my life just got so much better.
Of course, we are trying to get everything done before the end of the year because after January 1 my work will be super hectic due to Open Enrollment and I won't be able to take much time off for doctor appointments.
