Weekends are for wasting...

What a glorious waste of a weekend. And yet, I don't really regret it. I didn't do much. Watched South Park, ordered Indian food, played Sims...worked last minute on some sources for a paper. Ooh and finished a contraband book :-p It's only contraband because it's a) in English and b) not about linguistics. In fact, it was a fun culinary mystery by Diane Mott Davidson. Her books are SO much fun and I need nourishing book junk food for my weary mind sometimes. (www.dianemottdavidson.com) Plus, her recipes in the book are just awesome, when they don't involve seafood. But don't worry...I am also reading yet another Dickens; this one is Hard Times, which nobody I know has ever read. It's not as popular as Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, David Copperfield, etc. but so far, I'm enjoying it in bounds and starts.

I'm hoping this week goes okay; last week was fine up until the presentation I had to give. I'm trying to work on forgiving that girl who so RUDELY interrupted me, because otherwise I will punch her pointy rat's nose in. And nobody wants that, least of all Pointy-Rat-Faced Girl. Anyway, time to go find more sources for this paper on -t- or -ed verb development in Germanic languages (specifically German and English, respectively).
