Arrival.

This is not what I expected to see when I died.  The people who work here seem somewhat helpful, although it is unnecessary for them to do anything for me.  Reliance on others for anything is a sign of weakness I cannot afford.

This place is called Desai?  The name sounds familiar but I am not sure, perhaps my Watcher mentioned it in training.

Can't afford? There's taxes on relying on others now?

...There's not a tax collector for that here, right?

I mean, that would be a pretty hard thing to police.

Or at least I think it would be.

Not to mention kind of unfair.

Though I guess anything's possible nowadays.

And it's also not the reason I'm here.

This place has trains going everywhere, and hey! It even has this cool little brochure.

...Which I guess isn't all that interesting to you, since it's supposed to be a vacation spot.

That does not explain why you are here, instead of Sunnydale.

Well.

Sunnydale's kind of.

Really gone.

...What happened?

It's a pretty long story, but the short version is:

Big bad wanted to open the Hellmouth. Which didn't fly over so well with everyone, so we decided to close it for good. And then it kind of...imploded the town.
