LJ Braintrust--Need Panel Discussion Ideas!
I could really use some help here, folks. I haven't set up a panel discussion in YEARS. We're talking nearly a decade. As such, I'm finding my newest assignment for GameX to be quite daunting.
If you were a consumer going to a video/PC game expo (such as GDC, E3, or GameX, or perhaps even Comic Con or Dragon*Con) what sort of panel discussions would you want to see? Suggest topics, panel names, even people in the industry you'd want to hear from!
I have several female games publication journalists lined up, but no topic to discuss! I've also got at least one educational game designer interested in leading a panel, but again, no idea what to talk about. Might even have an animation voice actor lined up to give a talk, but again. . .no definite topic.
The other big snag: We're a first-year show, so we can't afford to pay the speakers much, probably not more than free VIP 3-day passes to the show.
Any help would be GREAT. Feel free to pass this little note on to your significant others, family members, and friends who are into games/sci-fi cons, too! Any constructive advice, positive or negative, is welcome.
