After talking some things over with John, I am postponing Roast Chicken. Turns out John is opening at ITS again this Sunday, so he'll be home somewhere around 4 pm instead of working 12-9 pm. Fun, fun, fun.
Anyway, we also decided to try and bang out some household projects this weekend through the concept of Divide & Conquer. He's going to call Eldest Nephew and Honorary Nephew to see if they can come over and cut firewood on Saturday in exchange for grub and a little bit of cash. (Fairly certain Honorary Nephew is a sure bet to come help, as he was recently laid off.) While they are playing lumberjack, John and I would be installing the ceiling in the bedroom. (My closet needs a shelf first, but hopefully that will go in tomorrow rather than Saturday.)
Add in Out-of-Town Guest (that would be Chad from Pittsburg) and two roast chickens would probably NOT be enough to feed the brood. So, I'm going with lasagna. I have most of what we need here already, but I'll need to go the store to get some noodles. That's kind of integral to the whole "lasagna" thing.
