Random thoughts
I'm slowly getting better. I went back to the fracture clinic on Monday to give back the aircast boot I've been wearing for the last 6 weeks. The doctor was happy with my progress and said I'm healing nicely. He was a bit surprised that I'd already started weight bearing without the boot but not unhappy about it.
I finally got to see my original x-rays and they're pretty impressive. I broke the bottom of the tibia off completely and broke the fibula into four pieces (one of the fibula breaks wasn't even visible on the x-ray, the surgeons were quite surprised there was an extra bit to re-attach when they opened me up).
I'm now seeing a physiotherapist who is lovely, except when she's evil. I can now walk a few steps without any support and am only using one crutch around the house (so I can finally make a cup of tea for myself, though I can't get it up the stairs yet). I can't walk on tip-toes yet (have to work on that) or come down the stairs normally but I'm getting there.
My lungs are still holding me back a bit. I get out of breath much quicker than I used to. Over the next months I'm going to have to slowly build up my stamina and strength. I've also gained weight (which is pretty normal after a broken leg) and lost muscle tone everywhere from being so inactive so I'm going to have to work on that too (I had to anyway before the break but now I have even more to lose).
Simming wise I'm still working on the next chapter, I'm about half way done with the writing and want to re-shoot the final scene (again!).
I'm also working on a who's who for generation E. I plan on posting it before the next chapter if only to remind people who all these sims are.
I've been looking for new default skins for a while but haven't found anything I like more than what I'm currently using (partly because I need skin sets with at least 6 tones). I think I may finally have found something I want to switch to - Aquilegia's new skin set (plus the palest tone from her Food of the Gods set). If I do switch I don't plan on doing it until Edward has graduated university, hopefully by that point Aquilegia will have uploaded more of the Pennys skins and I'll have a nice choice for which tones to use for defaults.
