I realize I haven't posted anything here lately. I've been fairly busy and distracted and I'm sure you've all missed my insights terribly, havn't you?

So, random things from the last few days:
* I didn't visit the folks for Easter. In lieu thereof, I decided to make something tasty for dinner. Lamb chops marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic and fresh thyme + roasted asparagus = love
* Shout! handi-wipes are the best things ever. Yesterday I spilled coffee on my skirt - naturally this occurred not when I was wearing an old, boring skirt, but rather when I was wearing my nice cream linen suit from Ann Taylor - but the magical Shout! wipe not only got the coffee stain out, but also the water stain from my original failed attempt to clean the spot. These wipes? The best things ever!
* I love the fact that the weather is now nice and warm enough that I can wear sandals. However, I hate the fact that my poor feet are not accustomed to wearing shoes without hosiery so I now have four different sets of blisters from four different sets of shoes. I guess tomorrow I will go for number five. *sigh*
* My friend S is in town from Paris. I was quite surprised when she called me out of the blue yesterday to say she was here and could we get together for drinks after I got off work. sitting outside on a warm spring day while drinking margueritas is always a good thing, if not quite as glamorous as drinkings kir at a sidewalk cafe near Saint Sulpice.
* At work today, one of the staff assistants was handing out Peeps to co-workers. TO BE EATEN! This, of course, shocked me, since I firmly believe that Peeps are for nuking and slashing. When I joked to one co-worker about the nuking (I wisely left out the slashing) she looked at me oddly and asked me what Peeps have to do with microwaves. *shakes head* What are they teaching kids these days?
* Today, when I stopped in the corner market to pick up a loaf of bread, one of the guys who works there informed me that I'm "one fly woman." A little random flattery does wonderful things for a girl's ego.
* GIP! Because Dilbert is very wise. *nods*
