Smurf Update
Hey all
I'm just posting this as an update on behalf of yellowsmurf6 .
Those in the States may have seen reports of the four tornadoes that rampaged through backwoods Illinois yesterday. I happened to be on the phone with my girl when one passed in the vicinity of her house. I could hear the wind howling and windows breaking! Freaky, scary shit! She said she couldn't see across the street, the rain was falling so hard and that there were treelimbs everywhere and fences and trees being blown over. Yeah .... not pleasant! Oh, and the power went out. Of course.
Anyways, she was called in to work early and is helping out in dispach tonight. There is no electricity in her whole county, it appears, and the estimates as to when power will be back ranges from 4 days to 2 weeks... oh, what joy and jubilation ... not!! Needless to say, lots of power lines are down and transformers blown.
So, my smurf is fine, just rather unhappy about the prospect of no electricity! Access to the internet is gonna be a bit sketchy for the next little while so don't panic if you don't hear from her for a while!
I'm sure she'll aprreciate all your good vibes - aim them at the power company, I think she'd appreciate that the most *grins* - and she'll be back as soon as she can!
She still has her faithful BB and she can get emails on that so if you all want to contact her, that's the way to go. She also gets LJ private messages via email too so you cna contact her that way if you don't have her email. I'm sure she'd appreciate hearing from you all!
